We collect information you provide directly and information generated automatically by using the app.

Information you provide:

• Full name (for personalised Rashifal)
• Date of birth and birth time (for Rashi and Nakshatra calculation)
• Birth city name, latitude, longitude, and timezone (for accurate Vedic calculations)
• Current city name, latitude, longitude, and timezone (for local Panchang and Rahu Kaal timings)
• Email address and password (for account registration and login)
• Preferred language (English, Hindi, Gujarati, or Tamil)

Information collected automatically:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
• Device type and operating system (Android/iOS) for compatibility
• App usage events collected by Google AdMob for ad serving

2. How We Use Your Information

• To calculate your personalised Vedic Rashi, Nakshatra, daily Panchang, Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, and Choghadiya timings
• To generate your daily AI Rashifal (horoscope) using the Anthropic Claude AI model
• To send you a daily push notification at 7 AM in your local timezone with your Rashifal
• To remember your preferences (city, language) across app sessions
• To allow you to update your password and account details
• To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob

We do not use your personal information for marketing, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data (name, email, birth details, city) is stored on our secure server hosted in India. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing — we cannot read your password.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

5. Push Notifications

We send a daily push notification at 7 AM in your local timezone containing your Rashifal. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings → Notifications → CosmosPandit, or from within the app.

6. Children's Privacy

CosmosPandit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your name, city, or language in the app's Profile screen
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a readable format
• Opt-out of notifications: Disable push notifications at any time in device Settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
