CosmosPandit ("we", "our", "us") provides location-aware Panchang, Muhurat, Kundli, compatibility, Rashifal, Planner, Mantra Jaap, festival and related Vedic services. This policy explains how information is collected, used, shared and managed when you use the CosmosPandit mobile app or website.
This policy applies to information processed through the CosmosPandit mobile application, its supporting services and the CosmosPandit website. Some features can be used without an account, while saved and personalised features require information to be associated with your account.
Account and profile information. We may collect your name, email address, password in hashed form, optional phone number or username, language, regional and app preferences, and account or session information used to authenticate and secure your account.
Birth, family and astrology information. Information you enter may include birth date, birth time, birth place, gender, family-member names and relationships, coordinates and timezone. We process this information to provide Rashi, Nakshatra, Kundli, compatibility and related personalised calculations. Saved compatibility reports and other results may remain associated with your account.
Location and place searches. We may process your current or selected city, precise latitude and longitude, timezone, saved locations, and city or birthplace searches. Location is used for local Panchang, Muhurat, sunrise, sunset and other location-aware features.
Planner and saved content. We may store Planner task names, descriptions, notes, dates, chosen Muhurat windows, locations, assignees, status, reminder settings and task history. We may also store saved Panchang or Muhurat information, festival reminders and related notes.
Spiritual activity and preferences. We may store Jaap history and counts, mantra favourites, festival or vrat preferences, notification choices and daily-guidance preferences. Because these choices may reflect religious or philosophical interests, we treat them with care.
Device, advertising and technical information. The app and its service providers may process app and device identifiers, advertising identifiers when available, IP-derived general location, device model, operating system, app version, language, timezone, ad impressions and interactions, product interactions, performance information, crash reports and diagnostic information.
Push identifiers. If notifications are configured, the app processes an Apple Push Notification service token and a Firebase installation or Cloud Messaging registration token, together with device platform and timezone information. A token may be associated with your signed-in account so requested notifications can reach your device.
With the relevant permission or when you select a place, CosmosPandit uses location for location-aware calculations and features. The app does not use continuous background location tracking. Location details may be saved when you save a location, profile, Planner task or reminder.
Place-search text or coordinates may be sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim for place search and reverse geocoding. Coordinates may be sent to TimeAPI.io when timezone resolution is required. These providers may also receive normal network information such as your IP address.
CosmosPandit uses local notifications and, where enabled, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Notification categories may include Planner reminders, Panchang timings, festivals or vrats, Jaap or mantra activity, Rashifal and other options you enable.
Apple and Firebase process push tokens and notification payloads to deliver messages. You can control notification categories in the app where available and can disable notification permission in your device settings.
CosmosPandit uses Google AdMob to display advertisements and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) where applicable to collect or manage advertising consent. Depending on your region, choices and service configuration, advertisements may be personalised, non-personalised or limited.
Google may process advertising and device identifiers, IP-derived general location, advertising data, ad and product interactions, and performance or diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and advertising measurement.
On iOS, the app may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you authorise tracking, the device's advertising identifier (IDFA) may be available to the advertising SDK for personalised advertising or measurement across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you deny ATT permission, the app can still request ads, but the IDFA is not included in those ad requests.
Firebase Analytics may collect app usage and screen-interaction information when you enable the app's analytics preference. You can change that preference in the app.
Firebase Crashlytics operates in release versions of the app to process crash reports, stack traces, relevant application state, device and operating-system information, and selected non-fatal errors. We use this information to identify and correct reliability problems.
Some Rashifal and related content may be generated using the Anthropic Claude API. The identified AI request can include your Rashi, selected language, date and derived transit, Panchang or timing context. Our reviewed implementation did not include direct account identifiers such as your name, email address or account ID, or raw coordinates, in that identified prompt. AI requests remain subject to Anthropic's processing practices.

We share information with service providers as needed to operate the features described in this policy, such as advertising, analytics, diagnostics, notifications, AI generation, location lookup, timezone resolution and email delivery. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, protect users or services, investigate misuse, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
Account-linked information is generally kept while your account is active or as needed to operate requested features. Different records may be kept for different periods depending on their purpose, security needs and applicable requirements.
Using the account-deletion process removes applicable active account records according to the implemented deletion process. Limited information may remain for a period in backups, security or operational logs, where required by law, or under third-party processor retention practices. We do not promise that every copy disappears immediately.
We use safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport for supported app and service connections, access controls and password hashing. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
The app provides controls to review or correct supported profile and preference information, export an account-scoped copy of supported data, and request account deletion. Exported data does not include password credentials or push tokens. You may also contact us for privacy or account assistance. We may need to verify your request and may retain limited information where permitted or required.
CosmosPandit is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without any consent required by applicable law, contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
CosmosPandit and its service providers may process information in countries or regions other than your own. Privacy and data-protection rules may differ between locations. We handle such processing subject to applicable requirements and the safeguards used by the relevant service providers.
The CosmosPandit website uses Google Analytics to understand website visits and interactions, and may use Google advertising technology. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and receive browser, device, interaction and network information. Their operation is governed by Google's settings and privacy practices. You can use browser settings and Google's available privacy controls to manage applicable cookies and advertising choices.
We may update this policy as the service, technology or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update the date at the top of this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
